Trammel Nets

Trammel Nets: A type of gill net where fine fill netting is "sandwiched" between two layers of larger mesh netting thus forming a pocket. Fish attempt to swim through the pocket and become entangled and are later harvested. An individual trammel net will catch a wide range of fish sizes. Trammel nets can be stationary or moving, floating at the surface, or sinking to the bottom.
